Location: Markham, ON
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Duration: Permanent Full Time position

Responsibilities:
* Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, documenting & implementing of applications & scripts in collaboration with quality assurance
* Maintain, support & enhance existing applications
* Create system design documentation outlining overview, diagrams & designs specific to users, application system & technical requirements
* Participate in the installation, configuration, upgrading & maintaining of application software
* Analyze, maintain & implement security features for application development, servers, authentication & procedures

Qualifications:
* Minimum 10 years experience in OOAD, Java & related technologies is required
* Must have experience in:
* MVC & multi tier application development
* Java SE & Java Enterprise technologies: EJB, JSP, Servlet, JMS, JPA, frameworks like Spring, Hibernate & Struts
* Web development & good command of HTML, DHTML, CSS & Java Script
* Databases, especially Oracle & MS SQL Server and related technologies: JDBC, SQL, & SQL & PL/SQL
* Unix/Linux scripting
* XML & related technologies: JAXB, SAX, & DOM
* Reporting frameworks like Jasper reports
* Excellent understanding of full software development life cycle and multi tier application development
* Experienced in different methodologies like Agile & Test Driven Development
* Experience in JEE & JSE technologies, patterns & frameworks
* Experience in ORM technologies like Hibernate & JPA
* Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
